Spring on the Adriatic – Part 5: Dubrovnik, Croatia

We arrived back into Dubrovnik in the early afternoon. The old city has seen a huge increase in tourism recently, especially from Game of Thrones fans that travel to see many filming locations; the city is the primary filming location for the show’s King’s Landing. Even though it was shoulder season, it was still quite busy. Traffic and parking were a nightmare.

Spring on the Adriatic – Part 1: Getting There

In the past few years, interest in the Adriatic region of Europe has increased substantially, in large part to HBO’s Game of Thrones. Much of the show is filmed in Croatia, and the country has seen a huge influx of tourism.

The Adriatic is beautiful, and I greatly enjoyed my visit to Slovenia in 2014. While much of this trip would be in Croatia, my friend and I also planned day trips to Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Delta’s Inaugural A350 Flight!

Hello everyone! Today is an incredibly exciting day as the Airbus A350 enters service for Delta Air Lines! I purchased a seat (in Delta’s new Suites class!) several months ago when the inaugural route was announced, and I’m thrilled to be able to share my experience in real time today! I shouldn’t have any trouble updating while on board, as Delta’s equipped their A350 with 2Ku WiFi.
